AM Colombia University Group Reunites for Bible Reflection and Fellowship

After a two-month vacation, AM Colombia resumed its University Group meetings as students returned to classes. Six young people, including returning and new participants, attended the gathering, which began at 10:00 a.m.
After a two-month vacation, AM Colombia resumed its University Group meetings as students returned to classes. Six young people, including returning and new participants, attended the gathering, which began at 10:00 a.m.
The meeting opened with a warm welcome and introductory questions that allowed the participants to become better acquainted. The young people then enjoyed an activity called “Stop,” through which they interacted and strengthened their fellowship.
The activity also introduced an important spiritual lesson: life is not meant to be lived through human strength or personal efforts to become better. Instead, each day should be recognized as a gift made possible by the mercy of God.
The central part of the gathering was a biblical reflection led by Leader Leidi Suárez. Based on James 4:14–17, the message invited the students to consider the question, “What does life mean?”
Through the passage, the students reflected on the fragility and brevity of life. They were reminded that human life is like a mist and that no one can control what will happen tomorrow. People often focus on what they hope to accomplish in the coming months or years while forgetting to faithfully manage the day God has placed before them.
The reflection emphasized that each day is an opportunity to obey God, love others, and live with a heart focused on eternity. Because life belongs to God, believers are called to release their desire for control and trust His will, humbly recognizing that every future plan depends upon the Lord.
Psalm 39:4 was also shared, reminding the participants that their days are limited and that they must learn to live in dependence upon God.
At the conclusion of the message, Leader Andrea Rico led the group in prayer and invited the young people to share their prayer requests. Together, they prayed for each need and thanked God for the grace they had received during the meeting.
The gathering concluded with snacks and koinonia, providing another opportunity for the students to strengthen their relationships and enjoy fellowship.
AM Colombia gives thanks to the Holy Spirit for guiding the gathering with His presence. Following this season of rest, the ministry will continue walking alongside the students, trusting that God will sustain the University Group and use each meeting to draw more young people closer to His Word.
